Affiliate disclosure

CheckedStack is free to read. Some outbound links are affiliate links: if you click one and go on to subscribe, the site may earn a commission. You pay exactly the same either way.

What it does not affect

The rankings. Scores are computed from capability ratings by code that has no access to commission data — the reasoning, and how to check it, is on the methodology page.

It does not affect what is said about a tool's limitations either. Every tool on the site has at least two, including the ones that pay the most.

How links are marked

Affiliate links carry rel="sponsored", and any page that contains one shows a notice saying so near the top. Where a tool has no affiliate programme — or the site has not joined it — the link goes straight to the vendor, untracked, and is not marked as sponsored. Nothing is labelled as an affiliate link that is not one, and the reverse.
